Tourism connection

  • Upgraded roads on the Dinosaur Trail for tourists travelling to the Age of Dinosaur museum in Winton.

Barcaldine South Upgrade

  • $12.5 million jointly funded project to upgrade approximately 11km of Landsborough Highway between Blackall and Barcaldine to improve flood immunity.
  • Construction includes widening of lanes, installation of drainage, street light and upgrades to the intersection and rest area.  

Clermont–Alpha Road pave and seal project

  • $8.71 million project to seal almost 17km of Clermont–Alpha road which will improve safety, reduce travel time and vehicle operating and maintenance costs for all motorists.
  • Project is funded as part of the $100 million Northern Australia Beef Roads Program.

Outback Way progressive sealing project

  • $6.25 million jointly funded (Australia and Queensland Governments) projects to seal and widen 18km of road.
