Gold Coast Light Rail — Stage 2

  • 7.3km, Stage 2 commenced operating in December 2017 from Helensvale (heavy) rail station to existing Gold Coast University Hospital light rail station.
  • Gold Coast Light Rail network is 20.3km long with 19 stations and uses 18 trams between Broadbeach South and Helensvale station with an average of 25,991 passengers daily.

Fearnley Street boat ramp and walkway

  • $1.3 million upgraded boat ramp and floating walkway in Cairns.
  • Completed the 4-lane ramp and built floating walkway which better caters for the local rowing club in March 2018.

Mount Lindesay Highway

  • $78 million jointly funded program of works to improve safety, flood resilience and capacity.
  • Program of works include:
    • Jimboomba—increasing to 4 lanes (Camp Cable to Johanna Street)
    • Park Ridge South—increasing to 4 lanes (Rosia Road to Stoney Camp Interchanges)
    • Greenbank Road—safety improvements including new service road at North Maclean
